In late 1998, Nassau Bay Baptist Church voted to elect a New Building Committee to look at the need for a new Sanctuary. The recommendation of that committee was as follows:

1. Do all future construction in such a manner as to keep the church debt-free.
2. Focus first on renovating and repairing the existing facilities before proceeding on with the construction of a new building.
   With this in mind, the church proceeded throughout 1999 to do major renovations on the existing facilities, including sidewalk repair, new carpeting, new lighting, and painting.

With these repairs completed (without incurring debt) Nassau Bay Baptist Church voted in late 1999 to move forward with a New Building Committee. This committee, composed of 12 members, and working with SDT Architects, has developed the following plans.
